JAMMU, Sep 01:Holding a press conference at Jammu University cafetaria, NSUI leader and social activist, Advocate Nitin Bakhshi lambasted the present coalition government and relief commissioner for pathic condition of employees appointed under PM migrant employees package.
He elaborated that on one hand, government is making tall claims for the rehabilitation and resettlement of kashmiri pandits back in the valley but on the other hand, relief department is providing accomodation as per the rule of flock of sheep and goats. The poor employees are being stacked in the number of two to three persons in two rooms where they find very tough even to respirate and the worst scene is that Mr. Surinder Ambardar, nominated MLC from the kashmiri pandit community is only interested in photo sessions of visiting this and that place. He has no interest in solving the pathic condition of these employees.
Elaborating the previous day scene at Nikas employees colony of kashmiri migrants, Shabnam Gulzar, D.C.(Relief and rehabilitation,Kashmir divison) entered into physical manhandling with an old aged couple namely Mr. Surinder kumar bhat and his wife resulting into injuries of that person and his wife felt unconsicous. The reason behind that manhandling was forceful entry of a kith of Mr. Shabnam Gulzar for which already living persons were having an objection as that would make that accomodation conjusted. This is the worst condition of relief and rehabilitation department.
Further, Mr. Bakhshi appealed to the chief minister and relief commissioner to remove Mr. Shabnam Gulzar immediately from hus post and probe into the matter by constituting a committe and also remove the forceful adjustment of the said flat, J7 of nikas migrant employees colony as it will create chaos in the flat. If Relief Commissioner will not take any further step,the results will be worst.
