Kathua Police arrests 3 in IPL betting ; 20 more under Radar including Big Fishes in Jammu

KATHUA, Oct 20: Kathua police while tightening noose against betting during IPL, have arrested three persons and launched a manhunt for those absconding perosns.

Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua Shailendra Mishra said that several complaints were being received regarding involvement of youth into the illegal trade of IPL betting on the pretext of doubling their money by the bookies , wheras Mishra has been widely appreciated by Public of Kathua for this action. 

Sources in Kathua Police told Cross Town News that around 20 persons are under radar for role in IPL betting and also the role of persons as main Bookies and their associates.

Sources told Cross Town News that big fishes can also come under radar of Police as Economic Offence wing of Crime Branch is likely to plunge into the issue once statements of arrested persons are taken into account as they are likely to divulge information of who are the main bookies in Jammu and Kashmir and how the whole betting netwrok is being run.

Sources told Cross Town News that couple of names from Jammu city cannot be ruled out at this moment as Police is likely to go all out against Betting network after directions from Lieutenant Govenor Manoj Sinha.
