JAMMU, Aug 12: JP Sharma, Chairman (IW), All India Anti Crime Anti Corruption wrote a letter to Cross Town News and accused VC JDA of being silebnt on corrupt practices prevalining in JDA, especially Parking and Building Permission cases.
Jyoti wrote " "With great surprise I would like to inform your good self that JDA which is working under the supervision of an KAS Officer but failing to deliver the masses of Jammu as directed and desired by yourself,as there is a parking mafia which is taking control of the Officer Incharge in JDA who are assigned the duty of allocating the parking lots but parking contractor are charging double amount for parking a vechile at Bhau plaza.
As per the internal source of JDA higher officer are having hand in glove with these contractors and they are involved in this over charging nexus.Through the
time period of the present contractor is over as per tender document.
But with the blessings of the concerned JDA officers these contractors are enjoying the extended time out of the way as officers are using the spl power by twisting the law and by using these means they are earning big amount from contractor.
Sir this extended time period of contractor as allocated by JDA Officers is totally illegal as per the law books. Further under the nose of VC JDA they are not issuing/ calling for any Fresh tender
document and all this is being done deliberately just in order to honour their personal interest of getting easy money from contractors."
