PULWAMA, AUGUST 17: District Administration on the directions of LG has identified the patches of land for setting up of Fruit Mandi (FM) in Tral and Rural Farmer Haat (RFH) besides formulating comprehensive DPRs submitted to Director Horticulture and Marketing and Planning.
The proposal has been sent after farmers had raised demand regarding setting up of Fruit Mandi (FM) in Tral and Rural Farmer Haat (RFH) along National Highway during Hon'ble LG’s visit to the district.
In this regard Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer said that 20 Kanals of land has been identified at Tral for fruit Mandi whereas Rural Farmer Haat will come up along National Highway in coming days for the facilitation of the farmers.
He said Rural Haat set up over 15 Kanals in Tehsil Awantipora will be a State of Art with all modern facilities where farmers can easily sell their produce at reasonable rates.
The famers community of the district has hailed the move and expressed their satisfaction over the district administration's swift compliance of Hon'ble Lieutenant Governors direction on 11 July 2020.
