SRINAGAR, JULY 30: Highlighting the importance of road connectivity in improving the socio-economic profile of people, Minister for Roads & Buildings and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri called for concerted efforts for taking up of work on vital road and building projects.
Chairing a meeting of officers of R&B department and hot-mix plant owners of Kashmir, who called on him here today, the Minister asked the concerned for commencing work on vital projects under R&B sector ensuring their timely completion. He also asked them for repairing of roads. He assured hot-mix plant owners that they would be provided every possible assistance in resuming the work allotted to them. He also asked the concerned to take people into confidence and resume the work on the projects.
The Plant owners also apprised the Minister about the problems being confronted to them. The Minister heard them patiently and assured for their early redressal.
Among others, Chief Engineer R&B, Kashmir Satish Kumar Razdan, SEs and EXNs attended the meeting.
