Covid 19 J&K: Advisor Bhatnagar, Dulloo, Bhupinder condole Dr Shabir Malik’s demise

SRINAGAR, JULY 28:  Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, today condoled the untimely demise of Dr Shabir Ahmed Malik, Medical Officer posted at Block Gurez, Bandipora under National Health Mission (RBSK), who passed away at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar on Tuesday.

Advisor appreciated the role of front line COVID warriors during this fight against the global pandemic in the Union Territory. He said that the selfless services of the Medical Officer during this pandemic are highly appreciable and laudable that will make our COVID warriors fight the deadly virus with even greater determination.

The Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo and Director Health Services Kashmir have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Dr. Shabir Ahmad Malik, Medical Officer, RBSK, National Health Mission Gurez, who passed away early morning today due to Covid-19 infection.

Mission Director, NHM, J&K, Bhupinder Kumar also expressed profound grief and conveyed condolences to the family of the Medical Officer and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Mission Director informed that Social Security benefits in the form of ex-gratia under National Health Mission will be extended to the family members at an earliest.

Meanwhile, the Government shall also process his case under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package, an Insurance Scheme for Health Workers Fighting COVID-19, he added.

The Medical fraternity described Dr. Malik as a true Covid warrior and prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace to the departed soul and for patience and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
