Jammu, July 23: However, after keeping the post of MD Housing Board, J&K Vacant since 1st July after the retirement of Arvind Kotwal, Government woke up after publication of the issue by Cross Town News & posted one honest & dedicated officer, who is known for his integrity, Arun Manhas as MD Housing Board.
Housing Board is one of the prestigious department, where lot of things can be done but it has been noticed that MDs comes & go but nothing had been done.
However, last three MDs had made records over some personal issues which were published by CTN but the bosses preferred to keep their eyes closed.
People have xpectation from new MD, in the first instance he will crack down on the nexus in the department to bring the transperacy & efficiency as they prefer to hide files or sleeps for the vested consideratoions or reasons known to them.
One Yogesh Kumar, computer engineer, at present Senior Programmer is dealing Administrative files, other Collector sits on files of choice, no rules & regulations are followed for clearance of issuess as job duties are not fixed.
Pick & choose is being adopted for unknown reasons are some concerned issues which are causing unnecessary delay in clearance of general genuine cases, which are needed to be looked into to make innocents free, who are running here & there as their cases are hidden/delayed, which otherwise will bring crore of rupee revenue to the board by way of different fee.
