DODA, JULY 23: District Development Commissioner, Dr. Sagar D Doifode today imposed fine on shopkeepers and shoppers for violating covid protection SOPs here during inspection of main market in Doda Township.
A fine of Rs. 50,000 was recovered from the erring shopkeepers and commuters for not wearing face masks.
Wearing of face mask and observing social distancing by the general public has been made mandatory and those violating the SOPs are to be fined.
The DC said that district administration is working tirelessly for the safety of the general public and sought cooperation of the people in fighting the deadly infection.
The DC also informed that the administration has designated officers at the Block and Tehsil level to enforce the covid protection guidelines and are also authorised to take strict action against the violators.
Others who accompanied the DDC during the inspection were ACR, Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani, SHO, Munir Ahmed besides other officials of the revenue and municipality departments.
