J&K BJP to celebrate one year of “370 abrogation” from 5 Aug to 20 Aug: Manyal


JAMMU, July 22: Jammu Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party will celebrate 5th August in a grand way, the day on which discriminatory articles 370 & 35(a) were abrogated.

This was stated by BJP General Secretary Dr. D. K. Manyal (Former Minister) accompanied by BJP senior Vice President Yudhvir Sethi and former MLC Vikram Randhawa, while he addressed a Press Conference at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Dr. D. K. Manyal while addressing Press Conference, said that the BJP will be celebrating a Pakhwara from 5th August 2020 to 20th August 2020 to celebrate 1 year of abrogation of articles 370 and 35 (a).

Giving details regarding the celebration programmes, Dr. Manyal said that the celebration shall be starting from 5th August 2020 with hoisting of Tricolour at every Mandal, Booth, Panchayat and in all the wards of Municipal Corporation and Municipal Committees of Jammu & Kashmir. He requested all the residents of Jammu & Kashmir to celebrate the day with hoisting of Tricolour on their housetops. 

Dr. Manyal requested to all the citizens to illuminate their houses, Chowks and prominent buildings in their areas with “DeepMala” in the evening. A book has been published by the Bharatiya Janata Party comprised of the notes of the diary written by Sh. Sanji Raj Gupta ji (towering leader of Praja Parishad movement) when he was jailed by the then regime. The book also consists of brief notes of extraordinary contributions by other leaders of Praja Parishad movement. The book shall be presented to such families those have sacrificed their lives for this movement by the J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina.

The beneficiaries of abrogation of 370 and 35(a) Valmiki Samaaj, Gorkha Samaaj, West Pakistan Refugees and others shall be celebrating the day marking the end of 70 year long discrimination with these communities, Dr. Manyal said.

Dr. D K Manyal also humbly requested all the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir to celebrate this day with great zeal and enthusiasm
