DDC launches Employment Helpline in Pulwama

Pulwama July 09: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr. Raghav Langer launched an Employment Helpline  for  migrant labours of District Pulwama  here today.
 
On the occasion, DDC said the helpline aims to provide  employment to those people in labour intensive   sectors like MGNREGA, PMGSY,  R&B  besides the accomodation of semi -skilled  and skilled Labours in organised and  unorganized sectors respectively. He said the helpline will be useful to the people  whose employment    avenues  got affected outside the  Union Territory of J&K in view of global pandemic. He said a database is also being generated in which intended employers  are being met with labours seeking  employment. 
Moreover all the  labours rendered unemployment due to reverse migration in view of Covid-19 may be provided employment in private  organized or unorganized sectors as per demand . 
        DDC told that the intended persons shall be linked up with self employment schemes like PMEGP, JKREGP, other subsidy schemes of Animal husbandary, sheep husbandary, agriculture, horticulture depts etc.
 He urged upon the  unemployed youth who desire to startup  their own business  units would be absorbed    in various self employment and credit linked schemes sponsored by various departments.
       The database generated shall also be useful for training providing agencies like Himayat program, RSETI, EDI etc to find the rights persons to be trained for different skill sets.

The helpline will be operational from 10 am to 5 pm on all working days.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, GM ,DIC , Assistant Labour Commissioner and other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
