Ahmadabad, July 5: A Lady Sub Inspector posted in Ahmadabad Police Station arrested for taking bribe to save rapists.
As per the story, two females filed an complaint of rape charges against their company director and subsequently a case was registered.
Thereafter, reportedly the lady sub Inspectot Shaweta Jadeja asked for 35 lac from the company director to save him from the charges otherwise tough actions shall be taken.
Reportedly, 15 lac was given to the Sub Inspector in advance but in between the brother of complaintant filed an complaint over the issue following which crime branch registerd a case against the Sub Inspector.
Sub Inspector was arestted & thereafter police got three days Police remand for further investigstion in to the corruption charges.
According to the FIR, two women employees of a private company in Ahmedabad had filed a rape complaint the company's Managing Director.
The FIR said that Shweta Jadeja, during the investigation of the case, demanded a bribe of Rs 35 lakh from the accused. She demanded the money for not booking Shah under provisions of the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA) Act, where the police can send an accused to a jail outside his native district.
