Parents Association Jammu to sit on indefinite Hunger strike from 29th June

JAMMU, June 24:All Parents Association Jammu Today on 24-06-2020 held a Press conference to aware the parents of the Rajouri and adjoining areas of the Pir-Panchal region President of the Association Amit Kapoor said that we are protesting  everywhere as parents in every part of  Jammu Kashmir are being harassed by the malpractices of private schools and also side by side we are making aware  parents about there rights against the organized “NEXUS” of loot in the name of school fees today we are doing the same in Rajouri we will try to aware as many parents as we can in every nook n corner of JKUT about this organized loot as all the orders passed by education department are only on papers there is no one from education department who is making sure that orders are in reality implemented on ground still many schools are fooling parents and most of the private schools are charging Annual charges, Admission charges and Re-admission fees, R.R Fees also and I am not able to understand that our education administration is busy in doing what ?

Amit kapoor said that Our political leaders irrespective of which party they are associated with are also not taking up this matter and are on hibernation mode no political leader no party no social organization is raising the voice of parents other than parents association Jammu why? Is this mafia of education is so powerful that no one is willing to hold the bull by his horns or there is some other reason to it. We still hope and urge all political leaders social activists to please raise this matter of parents so that this organized loot can be stopped and parents can take sigh of relief. Amit kapoor appealed all political leaders, social activists, sarpanches, panches, corporators should come forward and raised the voice and genuine demand of the parents for the sake of the students.

Private schools are openly violating the orders of education department many of journalists and media channels on live coverage has exposed the open loot of  private schools but all going in vain as our Education department is not interested in the rights of parents instead they are only n only interested in there vested interest that is the Attachiyon k Rishtey with private school owners that is the why till now no action has been taken on any of the school and the private schools are forcing, harassing, pressurizing and emotionally blackmailing parents to submit the school fees other then tuition fees also and are also forcing parents to buy books from there blue eyed book vendors we are still ready to pay only 20% of the monthly tuition fees nothing more then that too for the sake of the salary of the teachers and other staff as they are also dependent on the tuition fees parents are not ready to fill the pockets of the profit making of the private school owners by buying books from there recommended book vendors and by paying whole tuition fees private school owners have become so shameless that they in this crisis are still looting the parents  who are left with no money as businesses are closed salaries of private employees are not released so from where the parent will pay the fees to the schools

He further said that when state like Uttrakhand, Himachal and Punjab, Chennai can waive off the school fees for the Lockdown period then why our administration of JKUT can not waive off the school fees. He said that we are not against the school teachers as they are dependent on the school fees. Parents are willing to pay only 20 % of the monthly tuition fees so that the salaries of the teacher can be paid. Amit kapoor urged the govt. of JKUT should act fast before its too late otherwise the parent will be left with no other option then to come out on roads.  Amit kapoor appealed parents to dont pay any kind of school fees and dont buy any school books yet.

In the end Amit Kapoor said that if our following demands are not met with we will be sitting on Indefinite Hunger Strike from MONDAY that is 29th JUNE at PRESS CLUB, Jammu.

IMPLEMENT THE RIGHT TO EDUCATION ACT (RTE) AT THE EARLIEST.
