NEW DELHI, May 15: A new scheme was announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam to provide interest subvention at 2% per annum to dairy cooperatives for 2020-21. The scheme will unlock Rs 5000 cr additional liquidity, benefit to 2 cr farmers.
Financing facility of Rs 1,00,000 crore will be provided for funding agriculture infrastructure projects at farm-gate and aggregation points. Impetus for development pf farm-gate and aggregation point, affordable and financially viable post-harvest management infrastructure.

Operation greens will be extended from tomatoes, onions and potatoes to all fruits and vegetables, 50 per cent subsidy on transportation from surplus to deficient markets, 50 per cent subsidy on storage, including cold storage and Pilot for 6 months will be expanded and extended
