JAMMU, July 04: A Young man wrote a letter to Cross Town News and expressed his concern over lack of amenities/facilities for Amarnath yatris.
A young Jammuite Gaurav Balgotra felt ashamed on kind of hospitality being provided to Amarnath Yatris in Jammu.
The content of letter go as
"I want to bring the issue of various problems faced by amarnath yatries from almost every part of the country. These yatries are helpless and bound to sleep on dirty roads under the sky with little or almost no help from the authorities. I communicated with many people stranded outside the token counter of amarnath ji yatra shrine board at sangam resort in rail head complex. Most of the people had been trying to get a token to get registration for yatra for last 2-3 days but are unable as officials are reciting the songs of quota again and again and denying tokens and the registration was closed for the whole day today which created a huge rush of pilgrims as hundreds were waiting from previous days and thousands came today in the hope of getting the registration but were denyed and tomorrow when the registration opens by that time more pilgrims will reach the spot in want of registration.
The stituation there is tense as the people there are in anger and rage as the people with their children, old parents , spouse are on the roads in want of the token and authorities have not came forward to help them. There are more than 2 thousand people outside the token centre sleeping on the roads moreover there is just one police constable to control and protect the crowd of more than 2 thousand people. I brought this thing into the notice of the concerned authorities but they replied by saying that no force will be deployed before the precribed timing of 5 a.m. some yatries are fighting with others over petty issues and what if some miscreant uses this situation of panic to unstable the peace of amarnath yatra. These pics shows how badly the New token system of amarnath board has failed miserably."
