Srinagar, March 28: Special Judge Anti-Corruption CBI Srinagar Mohan Singh Parihar today granted interim bail up to April 27, 2020 to then Deputy Magistrate's of Kupwara District and one Rahul Grover in alleged fake Gun Licence Scam.
While granting bail Special Judge Anticorruption CBI after considering the prayer of the applicants-accused for bail in the light of given facts and circumstances of the case, observed that in view of the propositions of law laid down by Supreme Court in Sanjay Chandra Vs CBI and the setteled law is that bail is rule and jail is an exception, the applicants are entitled to bail and found no reason to rejectct the bail.
With these observations, Court admitted the applicants to interim bail on their furnishing personal bond to the tune of Rs 1 lakh each with one surety of same amount with the condition that the accused shall cooperate in the investigation of the case and shall appear before I.O as and when required.
The court further ordered that they shall not temper with evidence in any manner, they shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case.
