NEW DELHI: India will be placed under a strict lockdown from midnight to ensure that people do not venture out amid the coronavirus outbreak,
PM Modi said. “This is in effect a curfew across the nation,”
Modi said. “Nobody will be allowed to leave their houses starting tonight.”
Modi urged people to stay put where they are. He said if India fails to observe the lockdown for 21 days, the country will be setback by 21 years.
