UDHAMPUR, Aug 26: Three days State Level Inter District Handball Tournament for Girls for the year 2015-16 concluded here at Mini stadium Udhampur, in which district Jammu made a hat trick by defeating Udhampur District.
Joint Director Planning Udhampur, Rakesh Singh Jamwal was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Principal Govt. HSS Udhampur, Mr. Sunil Sharma was the guest of honour. About 184 Girls drawn from six (06) district of J&K participated in the tournament
On the final day of the Tournament in U/14 girls category district Jammu defeated district Udhampur by 01 goal and district Pulwama remained at third place. In U/17 girls district Jammu defeated district Udhampur by 9 goals and again district Pulwama got third position. In U/19 girls district Jammu defeated district Udhampur by 7 goals and third position was bagged by district Baramulla.
Miss Kashish from Jammu scored 9 goals and was declared player of the tournament. The chief guest distributed medals & trophies to the Winner & Runners up.The tournament was being organized by the department of Youth Services & Sports Udhampur.
