New Delhi, March 24: The deadline for filing GST returns for March, April, May 2020 and Composition returns has been extended to June 30, 2020 amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced that no interest, penalty and late fee will be charged on late GST return filing for companies with less than Rs 5 crore turnover & for companies with turnover of over Rs 5 crore, no late fee and penalty will be charged on late GST return filing and the interest rate has been reduced to 9 per cent.
