DODA, MARCH 21: District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today conducted an extensive tour of Thathri and Gandoh to inspect the quarantine facilities and preparations put in place by the health department to combat the spread of Coronavirus infection in the district.

The DDC was accompanied by SDM Gandoh, Dy SP DAR Doda, Tehsildars, BDO'S besides officials/officers of health and civil administration.

During the tour DDC inspected separate flu OPD's established in the hospitals, quarantine wards and reviewed the staff strength to deal with any exigency and also reviewed preventive measures taken to contain the spread of Coronavirus infection.

While inspection of quarantine wards DDC directed the health officials to vacate all the unnecessary occupied spaces in the respective health institutions so that maximum space could be created for establishment of quarantine wards to meet any exigency.

Moreover, the DDC directed them to reduce the daily OPD's to avoid public gatherings besides directed them to aware the people of these areas regarding various preventive measures required to combat the spread of Covid-19 infection.

Later, the DDC also inspected the under construction Government college building at Kilothran and directed the SDM to monitor the progress of work on regular basis for expeditious work and its timely completion. The DDC also inspected the ongoing work of KV Gandoh and asked the executing agencies to complete the minor work of the building so that the functioning of the ambitious institution shall be started as early as possible.
