Jammu, March 18: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Avny Lavasa reviewed ongoing sanitation drive aiming to avoid spread of coronavirus in Jammu city.
The Commissioner took stock of the drive in various areas including Parade, Raj Tilak Road, Purani Mandi, Super Bazar, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazar, Talab Khatikan, Dalpatian Mohalla, Shahidi Chowk, DC Office, Residency Road, Commerce College road along with other adjoining areas and issued on spot directions to concerned officer for complete sanitation of aforesaid areas as well as thermal fogging and spray of Sodium Hypochlorite solution including religious places.
The Commissioner directed the Chief Transport Officer for proper de-silting of Nallahs at Kabir Colony; Kunj Vihar Lane Sec 4 Nanak Nagar, etc.
The Commissioner further appealed to the general public to come forward and join hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation for maintaining proper sanitation besides containing the spread of corona virus as without help of citizens, it is hard to achieve the goal of ‘Clean Jammu Green Jammu’.
