Srinagar, March 18: R. R Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lt Governor and Director General of Police chaired a meeting of officers to review the security scenario of Kashmir and also discussed arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, which was attended by IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, IGP BSF, Rajesh Mishra DIG CKR, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, district SSsP of Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora, and through video conference by DIG, South Kashmir, Atul Goel, SsP Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama,and Awantipora.
Advisor Bhatnagar complimented the police and security forces for an outstanding performance and advised that we must continue with the efforts to maintain peace and create further conducive environment for development of the area.
DGP also advised the officers that the plans should be worked out and fine-tuned in such a way that required timelines as per Yatra schedule can be achieved & added that whatever support in the shape of logistics and manpower is required will be placed at their disposal for smooth conduct of the yatra.
