 
Jammu, March 15: After taking over the charge as Commissioner, Excise, J&K, Rajesh Shavan is making a major crack down on liquor vendees for evading taxes & in violations of Excise Act/rules.
A major crackdown on shop vends in chenab belt is reportedly going on for violations to break liquor mafia and malpractices.
One, Shalimar wine shop at kishtwar has been sealed.
Sources told Cross Town News that
Enquiry has been ordered against the owner for unauthorised / fradulant sale in view of absence of mandatory permissiins /NOC from District magistrate.
Sources said that a major penality of Rs. arround two crore being slapped on violators.
