UDHAMPUR, Feb 26: New committee of District Karate Association Udhampur was formed on Wednesday at Udhampur.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Ambedkar Gupta, General Secretary Karate Association of India, in the august presence of Sh. Rahil Gupta, President of Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir(AKAJK).
In the meeting, a new District committee of Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir(AKAJK) was framed. Sh. Surinder Singh Khalsa was unanimously elected District President, Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed as Chairman whereas Rakesh Kumar Bhardwaj was elected as General Secretary of the Disrtrict Unit.
Ambedkar Gupta and Rahil Gupta congratulated the newly unanimously constituted team and wished the good luck.
Newly elected President of the District unit Surinder Singh Khalsa said he will work hard to take Karate even to interiors of J&K and specially to the rural most hilly terrains of Udhampur. He asserted that our District has immence potential amongst youths which needs to be given the right direction.
