Udhampur, Jan 21: Dr. Piyush Singla , DC Udhampur bags National e Governance Award (Gold) given by DARPG, Govt of India for Project SAKOON.
This IT platform was conceptualised and implemented by Deputy Commisioner in Udhampur District.
This enables quick capturing , processing and disbursement of relief payment to sufferers of various natural disasters covered under SDRF in time bound manner.
For Jammu and Kashmir UT , where natural disasters are very frequent this solution helps people in need and distress. The project has been selected after rigorous scrutiny at national level.
The solution have also been shared by Dr. Piyush Singla with UT IT Dept for replicability and scalability.
