DC Pulwama reviews arrangements for IPPI Programme


 
PULWAMA JANUARY 13: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements put in place for conduct of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) programme in the district.
It was given out that 133787 children of the district in the age group of 0-5 years will be administered polio vaccines on January 19 for which adequate arrangements have been put in place.
It was informed that 470 vaccination booths have been establish in four medical blocks of the district with adequate deployment of officials from different departments besides, the services of health workers along with supervisory teams, Anganwadi workers and Asha workers have also been sought for proper execution and monitoring of the immunization process.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that it is collective responsibility of all stake holders to achieve the fixed targets to keep the district polio free. He stressed for wide publicity of the program through mass media so that no child is left out especially in the far-flung areas of the district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Health Officer, Block Medical Officers and other concerned.
