SRINAGAR, June 16: Minister for Finance, Dr. Haseeb. A. Drabu informed the House that commercial helicopter services operating within the state have been brought within the ambit of taxation vide SRO-297 of September 02, 2015 by the Finance Department adding that the rate of tax in respect of commercial helicopter services is 12.60%.
Kathua MLA Rajiv Jasrotia asked the question Will Increased Service Tax on Helicopter services on Religious sites be rolled back? , Haseeb Drabu said that at present no such proposal to roll back the said tax is under consideration with the Government and said that tax is applicable to all commercial helicopter services operating within the state.
MLAs. RS Pathania and Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta raised the supplementaries to the question.
