Sportsman's spirit true indicative of globally competent citizens: IGP Jammu to Jammu Sanskriti School Students

JAMMU, Dec 21:IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said Sportsman's spirit is true indicative of globally competent citizens, while interacting with Students at Jammu Sanskriti School.

The Press statement with Cross Town News reads " Our education system believes in improvising our children in a way that they apart from enhancing their intellectual ability develop a sense of sportsman spirit which is very much required in a world of chaos. With this intend, today the precincts of our school witnessed a splendid demonstration of team spirit, sportsman spirit and physical endurance. This annual event began in the benign presence of Mr. Mukesh Singh (IPS) IGP-Jammu (Chief Guest), Mr. Ravinder Dangi (IAS, M.D SIDCO) & Ms. Sheema Nabi Qasba (IPS, SDPO R.S Pura) - Guest of Honor & Special Invitees : Dr. Roopali Slathia (Physical Director, GCW; Gandhi Nagar, Jammu), Mr. Bhupinder Singh Tirthi (Treasurer of Kho-Kho Federation of India), Mr. Sahil Dev Singh (International Player Kho-Kho), Mr. Rajesh Virdhy (Chief Coach, J&K Rifle Association), Mr. Anil Kumar wadhera (Chief Boxing Coach, J&K) & Mr. Surya Ban Singh (Sr. Judo Chief Coach). Mr. Harpreet Singh Anand (Chairperson of the School) along with the members from the management, Mili R. Sumbria (Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua) & staff members from JSS, Kathua were also present on the occasion. The event commenced with the welcome address by Head Girl of the School Ms. Aastha Kohli. 

This was followed by presentation of saplings as a mark of green drive. To invoke blessings for the success of an event Ganesha Vandna was presented by our performers. Balloons were released and Olympic torch was lighted to mark the beginning of sports day. The tremendous oath taking ceremony left the audience in awe. The gathering was welcomed and greeted warmly by Ms Rohini Aima, principal cum vice-chairperson of the school who narrated the achievements and success story of the school in her annual report. Multifarious events like dumbles and wend yoga martial arts demonstration, mass pt, aerobics, high jump, tug of war sack race were the highlights of the event. The meritorious students of all classes were felicitated which created a sense of belongingness and motivation for others. The entire event was relinquished by an ensorcelling grand event in which the children presented Grand finale to thank the nation & Almighty God.

Chief Guest Mr. Mukesh Singh (IPS) IGP- Jammu for the occasion congratulated the management, principal and entire fraternity of JSS for such grandeur event and asserted that children of today are ambassadors of future and such events imbibe and emulate sportsman's spirit among children which is a true indicative of globally competent citizens.

Mr. Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairperson of the School congratulated the entire staff for putting up such a splendid show.

Ms Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-chairperson of the school presented the Annual Report & conveyed her gratitude to the chief guest, guest of honor and other eminent personalities for making it to our event. She also acknowledged the efforts put in by the Co-ordinators, entire fraternity of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu especially Sports, Music & Dance department and children for making this event a successful one. She asserted that any event becomes successful by cooperation and collaboration which we need to instill in our children and sports event serves as a finest platform for the aforementioned. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Himanshu, Head Boy of the School.
