JAMMU, Nov 23: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu conducts a workshop on Training & Management of Children with special needs.
 
The Press Statement reads " With the evolution of constructivist philosophy, concept of Inclusive Education came into being.  This concept to some extent became evident but to some extent remained neglected.  Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu is operating on the concept of Inclusive education with special children enrolled with us along with special educators. To apprise the faculty about the management of special needs of children, today a workshop was organised on Children with special needs, the resource person for the afore mentioned is Dr Mukta Vasal, PhD a senior consultant, Child and Adolescent Psychologist. The workshop was hosted by Ms. Diksha & Ms. Noor, Special educators from Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu and was attended by teachers from JKPS, Kunjwani , JSS, Kathua, APS, Dhar Road, Presentation Convent, Birla Open Minds Int. School, Heritage School, Cinosural Int. School, MIER College of Education, KCIS, TAPPS, Sunjwan, JKPPS, Miran Sahib, MHAC Nagbani, IDPS Jammu. Harpreet Singh Anand (Chairperson), Ms Rohini Aima (Principal cum Vice-Chairperson), graced the Workshop with their benign presence.
The workshop commenced with welcome address and lighting of lamp. Ensuing this Dr. Mukta Vasal discussed about current issues & challenges faced by Special educators and how can we diagnose the problem in early stages of life. She also highlighted the fact that lack of screening is one of the biggest factors which has resulted in enhancement in the percentage of disability status. She also discussed about the latest trends prevalent in Special education and how can we include them in teaching so as to ensure a better teaching learning process for Children with special need.
Speaking on the event, Ms. Rohini Aima; Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the School asserted that Youth is our ambassadors and torch bearers and when Children with Special needs also become a part & parcel of our Education system the result will be a productive & inclusive society. She also conveyed her gratitude to Dr. Mukta Vasal for conducting such an augmenting workshop which has an aggrandized our faculty in a wholesome way.
