Dulloo reviews modalities for operationalization of Medi-cities, HCI policy but silent on rate fixation?

Srinagar, Nov 22: Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Attal Dulloo today held a meeting to discuss the modalities for the operationalization of Medi-cities and Health Care Investment policy.

The meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Director Health Jammu, Dr Renu Sharma, Director New Medical College, Dr Yashpal Sharma, MD SIDCO, Ravinder Kumar, Joint Director Planning, Madan Lal and other concerned officers.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan along with other concerned participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

The Financial Commissioner directed the officers to speed up their efforts to operationalize the guidelines for the approval and finalization of the prestigious projects. He directed the officer to work in tandem so that land is transferred to the Health Department for the establishment of the twin Medi-cities.

Div Com Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan informed the meeting that he has written to the concerned Deputy Commissioner to authenticate the land with proper coordinates for the project.

But only meetings will not serve the purposes but needed to be done on ground means.

Matter of concern that despite knoeing the fact, Pvt Nursing Home owners are openly looting the innocents as Govt had not till date fixed different rates for different treatments.

Neither, the Health Department had bothered to inspect tsuch Nursing Homes during renewal of their licence, whethet it fulfills the terms & conditions speaks of big nexus in the Health Department, which allow to loot the innocents but the Govt is silent?
