Irregularities in Nutrition Supply: Govt places 5 CDPOs under suspension in Jammu & Kashmir


 

SRINAGAR, Aug 20: Pending enquiry into the reported irregularities in supply of nutrition and distribution of substandard nutrition items in ICDS projects (Anganwari Centres), the Government has placed under suspension five CDPOs with immediate effect.

The suspended officers include, Ms Bharti Sharma (the then CDPO, Vijaypur), presently attached with the Deputy Director (ICDS) Jammu, Ms Seema Bharti, CDPO, Purmandal, Mr. Babu Ram Tandon (the then CDPO Samba), presently posted as District Social Welfare Officer, Kathua, Mr. Parvesh Sharma, CDPO, Ghagwal and Mtr. Mehmooda Akhter, in-charge CDPO, presently attached with the office of State Mission Director, ICDS, J&K Srinagar.

 The Jammu based officers shall remain attached with the office of the Deputy Director, ICDS, Jammu during the period of suspension and Mtr. Mehmood shall remain attached with the office of the Mission Director, ICDS, Srinagar during the period of suspension.

Director Social Welfare, Jammu, Mr. M.S. Choudhary and Executive Director, State Rehabilitation Council, J&K, Mtr. Rubeena Kousar  have been appointed Inquiry Officers to conduct the enquiry on the allegations against the officers. The Inquiry Officers shall submit their report to the Government within a period of 30 days from the date of issuance of the Government order.
