SRINAGAR, April 30 : The Communication of Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti to Mr Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab on the issue of “Kothdar’s” (mutton dealers) has been received with great relief by the party cadre in particular and the masses in general.
Similarly the hike in the remuneration of Nambardars and Chokidars is seen as a compassionate measure. The relief to Truck & Tipper and Quarry Owners is a people friendly measure which meets the urgent social need.
These steps are visibly an evidence of seriousness and concern being shown for the labour class and other important sections of the society and have rightly generated hope and confidence in the public that every public issue will get priority with the compassionate Chief Minister of the state.
A party spokesman said that Srinagar unit of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and state level functionaries almost on daily basis raise the important issues with the government and at a party head quarters today the office functionaries expressed satisfaction on the audience they get particularly from the Chief Minister her self.
The spokesman said that party cadre is enthused over the performance of the Chief Minister and her approach to have the public issues prioritized for appropriate and early redressal.
The party functionaries observed how the administrative functioning has been streamlined at the secretariat level and at gross root level. The recent measure of the government to make Deputy Commissioners and SP’s of all districts fully accountable for quick public redressal mechanism. The monitoring by the Chief Minister by her self is changing the perceptions on work culture and people expect positive and desired results in immediate future with a promise to facilitate the government in its people friendly measures.
The meeting also observed the Chief Minister’s concern for tourism sector and her personal interest and patronage to women folk for their protection and economic security.
