Daljit takes stock of crop damages in Pargawal-Nikowal

JAMMU, APRIL 22 - Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans, Daljit Singh Chib today visited  village Pargawal-Nikowal which is the last village on Indo-Pak Boarder in Chamb constituency and assessed the damages  caused to standing crops of wheat due to accidental fire .

He was accompanied by MLA Chamb, Dr. K.L.Bhagat, and other officers of Revenue and PDD.

During his visit Vice Chairman was informed that around 70 Kanals of standing wheat crop besides various water pumping sets have been totally damaged in the fire causing huge losses to the framers.

Mr. Chib directed the revenue officials to assess the losses and send their report to the concerned authorities at the earliest for providing relief to the farmers and asked them to ascertain the reason of fire so that preventive measures are taken to avoid such incidents.

He asked Deputy Commissioner Jammu for providing permanent firefighting gadgets in the area so that in future any untoward incident is prevented.
