JAMMU, APRIL 21 -The Director General of Police, Prisons, J&K today Dr. S.P. Vaid inaugurated residential quarters for the staff today at Central Jail Jammu, Kotbhalwal. The building has been constructed by J&K Police Construction division in a record period of six months.
The DGP Prisons also commissioned Guard Room, Armory Room, Sentry posts.
While inaugurating the quarters, the DGP Prisons stressed upon the technical wing to ensure utilization of quality material in all the construction works. He also appreciated the engineers for successful completion of works within short span of time. He said that the department would make necessary efforts to improve living conditions in the prisons and also for the welfare of staff.
Superintendent, Central Jail Jammu, Kotbhalwal, Dinesh Sharma apprised the DGP about other construction works in the Jail premises for inmates.
Earlier, the DGP commissioned the Central Store, Mess and Dining Room at District Jail Jammu.
T DIG Prisons besides other senior officers of Prison department were present on the occasion.
