Kohli visits Mendhar, expresses solidarity with victims of Pak shelling

               

 RAJOURI, Aug 17:  In order to have the first hand appraisal of the ground situation at Balakote sector where six civilians were killed in Shelling from across the border, Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli today visited Mendhar in Rajouri District.Extending his deep condolences with the bereaved family of sarpanch Karamat, who was killed due to unprovoked firing across the border, Kohli condemned the frequent cease fire violations by Pakistan. He said the ceasefire violations have adversely affected the lives of the people living in border areas and these need to stop forthwith.

           

Earlier, the Minister chaired a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti of PHC, Kallar, Chatyar and approved an amount of 1.75 lakh  for purchase of life saving drugs and dressing materials for patients, instruments / surgical drugs and items for labour room, upgradation of labour room, waiting chairs for patients, and for maintenance and repair  work.

         

He directed that the new building be handed over to the concerned authorities by November this year besides installation of mast light and 25 KV Transformer for PHC, for which he released funds from his CDF. Regarding the matter of posting of Jr. Staff Nurse and separate water supply for PHC, the Minister assured to take up the matter with the concerned.

           

Meanwhile, various deputations called on Minister and apprised him of difficulties being faced by them. The Minister assured to mitigate their grievances in a time bound manner.
