Nayeem Qadir wanted to play for India; With death in firing by Security Forces in Handwara his dream of representing India also got killed

SRINAGAR, Apr 14: Nayeem Qadir Bhat, the youth who was shot dead in an alleged  firing by the security forces, was a budding cricketer whose dream was to play for India,

The walls of his room are covered with posters of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virat Kholi, Wasim Akram, Brian Lara and Pervez Rasool.

As per reports Nayeem was chosen for the All India-level coaching camp for cricket three years ago and was a student of first year in Government Degree College in Handwara and he wanted to play for India.

His grief-stricken mother pleads with mourning visitors to ask Nayeem's father to get their son's body back from the police station"Can you please tell him to bring my Gavaskar back.”.

As per a report, Bhat was shot when he was taking a video of the protests in Handwara over alleged molestation by Armymen. Two more people have died in the incident.(Agencies)
