BJP resorted to, dismissing Congress Govts,after realizing it can’t achieve-“Congress Mukt Bharat” slogan through elections- . Ambika Soni

JAMMU, April 10:AICC General Secretary Smt. Ambika Soni has said that BJP Govt. at centre has indulged in worst kind of anti-democratic campaign of destabilizing and dismissing the duly elected Congress Govt. in the  States, after the BJP realized that it cannot achieve its dream project of ‘Congress Mukt Bharat’ through elections.

Addressing the meeting of PCC executive of Jammu province and Mahila Congress committee convention  here today , Smt. Ambika Soni charged that the BJP President Sh. Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narinder Modi after realizing that there  dream of Congress mukt bharat could not be achieved through elections so the Modi Govt. led to destabilize the duly elected Govt. in borders States like Arunchal Pradesh and Uttrakhand and imposed President’s rule which is most un-democratic and  amounted to murder of democracy .She said that it is very unfortunate that the party (BJP) which always talked of very high principles has indulged in these kind of anti democratic tactics in bringing down opposition Govts. Which has fully exposed the party.

Smt. Ambika Soni questioned the BJP and PDP as to what transpired between two parties for three months after the sad demise of Shri Mufti Mohd. Sayeed, which led to change of their hearts without any thing new in the public domain . The two parties need to explain to the people if there any secret understandings. She questioned BJP as to what happened  to their slogan of preventing PDP (BAAP-BETi) party from coming to power, which exposes the political opportunism and its lust for power.    

On the question of NIT Srinagar Smt Ambika soni fully endorsed the demands of the State unit for judicial  enquiry , as she said that an impartial enquiry into the incident including the use of brutal force would bring out the truth and instill sense of confidence . She also  said  that premier educational institutions should not be used for any kind undue political motives. 

Reiterating the commitment of the Congress party to have adequate share of women in every sphere of life, Smt. Soni said that it was Congress which formulated policies in the Country for their upliftment and to ensure them participation right from Panchayats to parliament and the party would continue to strive in this direction   . She expressed satisfaction that the 73rd amendment was in corporate in the state laws  to fulfill dream of congress party especially Late Rajiv Gandhi which has ensured  33% reservation to the women for panch and Sarpanch and upwards in the PRIS .

She expressed concern over the continued  incidents of violence  against women in various parts of the country and said that more effective steps are needed to check such incidents and ensure safety and security of women .

Lashing out at the divisive politics of BJP in the country , She asked the party workers to defeat such designs and not allow the people  to be  misled by the false propagandas of BJP, as after it failed to fulfill the single promise during elections, the BJP is harping on other issues to divert the attention of the people from their failures she asserted that Congress has a history of sacrifices for the sake nation and it needs no lesson from anyone on nationalism.

Earlier PCC Chief Mr. G.A. Mir his address asked the mahila Congress workers to name the single promise fulfilled by the Modi Govt. during its 23 Month  rule to which the gathering responded in loud  no. He accused BJP and P.M. Narinder Modi of assuring people to bring black money and transfer 15 Lac to the account of the people but instead those looted the tax payers money were facilitated and allowed to flee from country . He reffered about the ration situation in the state which has forced people especially women to come on roads on daily basis. The price index in two years has touched new heights which has made living of common man greatly difficult .

Earlier two minutes silences was observed to pray for peace to those killed in a tragedy in a temple in kerala in which more than 100 casualities were reported today in a fire incident. Smt Ambika Soni expressed deep shock and anguish and expressed heartfelt  condolences and sympathies with the bereaved  families.

PCC Chief and other  senior leaders also expressed deep shock and anguish over the incident and loss of lives and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families .     

Earlier State Mahila President Smt. Indu Pawar Ex-MLA Welcomed the AICC General Secretary in the largely attended  convention at Sunny Farms Hall, Jammu. She said that mahila Congress workers would leave no stone unturned to expose the failure of the Modi Govts and the unholy alliance of PDP –BJP in the state .

The prominent leaders who were present included Sham Lal Sharma , Rigzin Jora, Raman Bhalla , Ravinder Sharma, Namrata Sharma, Rajnish Sharma, Manmohan Singh, Smt. Zahida Khan (Former Director school Education ), Rajni Bala, Parveen Sarwar Khan, Anuradha Andotra,Santosh Sharma, Vandana Makhnotra, Suman Choudhay , Reeta Kumari, Prabha Slathia , Geeta Dogra, Sushma Choudhary besides all State office bearers and Distt. Presidents & Block Presidents of Mahila Congress .
