RAMBAN, Mar 27 - Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jatinder Singh, has expressed profound grief and shock over the death of four labourers working with Railways Construction Company in a road accident in Hadog area of District Ramban.
In a condolence message, Dr Singh conveyed sympathies to the members of bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. He directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the victim families.
Four people namely Mushtaq Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed, Karnail Chand and Pervaiz Ahmed died when a tipper they were travelling in, rolled down from Hadod-Sumbher road into a deep gorge.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner, Bashir Ahmed Dar along with SSP Randeep Kumar and other officers visited the bereaved families and expressed sympathy with them. They also visited the accident spot and directed the company authorities to ensure time bound maintenance of road stretches along construction sites to avoid such incidents.
