Governor inspects new Katra–Adhkuwari Track

JAMMU, MARCH 23: Governor N.N. Vohra, who is Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, travelled on the new Track, called the Tarakot Track, which has been constructed by the Shrine Board at a cost of over Rs. 18 crore. He was accompanied by Shri A.K. Sahu, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board.

While travelling on the track, the Governor has directed the CEO to urgently complete the ongoing civil works relating to Toilets, Bhojanalayas and View points and also draw-up an urgent plan for the new track being provided shelters to protect the pilgrims from sun and rain. He further directed that such shelters can be installed at identified sectors of the track and there may be no need to cover the entire distance, so that the pilgrims can enjoy a walk in the sun during winters.

After inspecting the other ongoing works, the Governor paid obeisance at the Shrine.
