REASI, MARCH 22 - Watershed Department Reasi today celebrated “World Water Day” by organizing a rally on “Save Water”.
The rally was flagged off by MLA Reasi Ajay Nanda in which large number of students and locals particpated.
The rally started from Nai Basti Chowk which after passing through bus stand Reasi finally culminated at Deputy Commissioner Complex Reasi.
Speakers emphasized upon the importance of water in day to day life. They also highlighted the importance of water on earth and the importance of saving water that will help in ensuring food security, health security and ecological security for the people.
CEO Reasi emphasized that water is the mother and medium of life. He also appealed general public to make judicious use of water in life.
Among others, staff of watershed department, teachers, sarpanches, panches and students in large number were present.
