JAMMU, March 03 : An IAS officer was who termed as Dabbang Tax Collection Officer by many for his out performance in terms of revenue collections in J&K Commercial Tax department and now after his posting to Cooperatives department is giving sleepless nights to officials of under performing Cooperatives department.
In last two quarters Bashir Khan managed to beat targets set for revenue collections in Commercial Tax department handsomely and transferred officials sitting like glue to posts from years which improved the working and reduced corruption in the department.
Last week, Baseer Khan was transferred to Cooperatives department and sources told Cross Town News that the CT department took a sigh of relief as he had put the department under thorough corporate culture.
Sources in Cooperatives department told Cross Town News that even though Baseer Khan is in Lucknow for official duty as an Observor , the pressure to perform is still felt here. Sources further said the department which is under the scanner for high corruption is undergoing sleep less nights as once Bashir is back, then they may have to perform rigorously to get department in positive direction.
