Shall new Advocate General look into Court cases in J&K?

JAMMU, Feb 24: D.C.Raina has been appointed as Advocate General, J&K by Governor & he has assumed the charge of the chair. Mr. Raina was prior to this was also appointed as Advocate General in the previous Governor Rule. He is a reknowned advocate of the state in service matters. He was also representing lot of other departments.

Some of the litigants have urged through medium of this publication to Mr. Raina to advice his team to properly attend the courts to avoid adjournments so that early disposal of the cases can be done. He is also requested by the litigants to direct the concerned departments to file the objections/reply, which are not being filed in time by the Govt. to delay the justice.

He is also urged to call for the department list of objections not filed & take strong views into the delay caused. It is just informed for his information one contempt (SW) 158/15, in which it was ordered by the HHC to file compliance report within two weeks on 09.05.2015 & thereafter personal appearance of one respondent was caused in order dated 06.08.2015 but till date court orders are not bothered for. It is pertinent to mention here that in one SWP 1676 of 2013 lot of times HHC gave last & final opportunity to file response to supplementary affidavit filed by the applicant but respondents never bothered till date, speaks that how HHC orders are bothered by the respondents .

It is urged to AG. Mr. Raina to sort out these kind of issues for which innocents applicants are unnecessarily being harassed.
