JAMMU, Jan 16: Member J&K Transport Advisory Committee and Member Sports Council, Rahil Gupta on Saturday expresses his concern on increasing road accidents in Jammu & Kashmir. Rahil Gupta telephonically discussed issues with Secretary Transport Kifayat Hussain Rizvi and IG Traffic Viplav Kumar Choudhary and demanded for formulating a high level committee to look in to the increasing number of road accident.
Gupta talked telephonically with Secretary Transport Kifayat Hussain Rizvi and put forward a suggestion where maximum age of vehicles allowed for plying on roads be reduced and demanded for formulation of Committee to look in to ever rising road accidents in Jammu & Kashmir. Rizvi assured Gupta that necessary would be taken in this matter.
Rahil Gupta also talked telephonically to IG Traffic Jammu Viplav Kumar Choudhary and conveyed his concern to him on over-crowding in the public transport and rash driving by drivers on Highways, which many a times turn life-threatening. Viplav assured Gupta that a check would be kept on this.
Gupta expressed his sympathies with the family members of those, who were killed in road mishap in Udhampur district on Friday.
