JAMMU, Jan 11:Chief Electoral Officer J&K, Shantmanu today released the Final Publication of Electoral Roll here.Draft publication of Electoral Roll was made on 15th Sept 2015. In Draft Roll, total electors were 7314497, out of which Male Electors were 3835804, Female Electors were 3478641 and Third Gender Electors was 52.
The CEO informed that the Final Electoral Roll is 7375063, out of which, Male Electors are 3864996, Female Electors are 3510009 and Third Gender Electors are 58.He further informed that during special summary revision of photo electoral total 173611 new voters were added, out of which 61359 are in the age group of 18 to 19.
The CEO added that during summary revision, total deletions are 113045, total modifications are 81519 and total transpositions are 6399.Shantmanu congratulated new voters for their addition and informed that the EPIC Cards will be issued to all the new voters free of cost.
He thanked all the Election machinery including District Election Officers, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), BLOs, NIC and other agencies involved in summary revision.
The New Electoral Rolls (Voter Lists) are now available for the perusal of general public in the office of all District Election Officers (Deputy Commissioners), EROs, AEROs and one copy with concerned BLO. The electoral Roll is also available on official website of CEO J&K, he further added.
