SRINAGAR, Jan 10: Mehbooba turned emotional during 4th day ceremony and cried few a times in between.Mehbooba has reportedly broken few a times in last couple of days and also did not took oath as CM during this time.
Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, Sunday, visited the Fairview residence to personally convey condolences to Member Parliament and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, on the demise of her father, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, former Chief Minister.
She was accompanied by the Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and former Chief Minister of the state, Ghulam Nabi Azad, senior Congress leader, Ambika Soni, President, Pradesh Congress Committee, G. A. Mir and former PCC President, Saif-ud-Din Soz.
Paying rich tributes, the Congress President said the death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was a huge loss for the country. She also met the other family members, including Begum Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, and expressed solidarity in their hour of grief.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari, today visited the Fairview residence at Gupkar here to convey condolences to Member Parliament and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti, on the demise of her father, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, state’s former Chief Minister.
He was accompanied by BJP State President, Sat Sharma and senior leaders, Dr. Nirmal Singh and Sukhnandan Kumar.
The Union Minister said the entire country stood in solidarity with the bereaved family in sharing grief on the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
