JAMMU, Jan 06: In a meeting held under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister, it has been ordered that no power/water connection shall be issued to the defaulters, who will violate the building bye laws of 2011. The decision in this regard was taken in 76th meeting of the board of directors of Jammu Development Authority few days back.
It is also the need of the day to look into 40 commercial plans sanctioned by JDA in last five years & many more by JMC without UTEIC, NOC, in violations of order passed vide Govt. order No. 190-HUD of 2001 dated 14.08.2001 and to regularize 72 illegal constructions permitted only on Kaluchak to Birpur road in last 5 yearsas informed in RTI reply by JDA to generate revenue as a sanction fee. If the plans would have properly sanctioned crore of rupee as a fee would have generated but who bothers for Government losses.
It is to enquire how big constructions are going on Kaluchak to Vijaypur jurisdiction of JDA without sanctioned plans/ UTEIC, NOC etc and to be enquired by a high level committee to see the violations made by JMC/JDA after the issuance of order of UTEIC by the Government how the plans sanctioned without NOC’s of UTEIC and by pick and choose clearly speaks of open corruption. It is for the information of Dy. CM that a plan of aprox. 4000 sft at Birpur road has been sent for UTEIC NOC and despite all NOCs, Chairman, UTEIC is sitting on the file for unknown reasons but opposite & near to same site big structures are permitted by JDA even without sanction of plan needed to enquired by vigilance or crime.
Countess plans would have been sanctioned by JMC/JDA in violation of UTEIC order causing traffic hazards in the city causing noncompliance of Government orders. In area Greater Kailash to Vijaypur lot of big commercial complexes/ Banquets in violations are completed/going on without UTEIC NOC, which is mandatory and some even without sanctioned plans by JMC/JDA as per norms but innocents are harassed for sanctions causing a loss to Government & mental harassment to applicants.
Dy. Chief Minister shall look in to it and verify violations made in previous UTEIC approved plans to detect the scams committed by the concerned departments/officers for vested considerations.
