PDP asks administration to take extra steps to solve problems of common masses

SRINAGAR, Dec 28: Calling upon the administration to take extra steps to solve day today problems of the common masses on priority, General Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nizamuddin Bhat today emphasised on the need of gearing up of official machinery to provide all basic amenities to the people during inclement weather conditions.

In a statement issued here today, PDP General Secretary expressed satisfaction that during the last some days power situation has been improved in the Valley and supply of ration and gas is also streamlined. “The government is committed to provide basic amenities to the people during hostile weather conditions”, he said and pointed out that despite inclement weather every possible step is being taken to make essential commodities available to the common man at their door steps.

Bhat further said that efforts were on to streamline the connectivity despite inclement weather to ensure smooth flow of traffic for transporting essential commodities to the remotest areas and to facilitate travelling of the common masses. He admitted that inclement weather conditions were making such efforts difficult but authorities were doing the job on war-footing to ensure smooth flow of essential commodities.

Calling upon the administration to remain extra caution due to hostile weather conditions, Bhat said that every possible steps should be taken to ensure that offices will remain open in all areas including remotest and far-flung regions where weather conditions are very hostile.

PDP General Secretary pointed out that in some areas certain issues are causing problems which should be looked into immediately. He said that public opinion are being taken  into consideration while implementing various mega projects of roads, railways or water supply supplies are concerned.

Assuring that coalition government under the sincere leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to do an extra effort to ensure peace, progress and prosperity in the State, Bhat said that regime will work for smooth functioning of the institutions which are established for the welfare and upliftment of the common masses.

Bhat further asked the administration to ensure that roads should not be closed in case of any eventuality like heavy snow-fall or land-sliding. “Flow of the essential commodities should be continued at any cost so that people will not face hardship in case of any eventuality”, he asked.
