Regional Director Land Records  conducts surprise  inspections of Girdawari in Udhampur

Surprise Girdawari Inspection in Udhampur by Amit Sharma
 

Udhampur, Oct 7:Amit Sharma, Regional Director Survey & Land Records(Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi today conducted surprise Partal (Inspection) of Tikri Niabat during ongoingDaur ofGirdawariin all the revenue villages of the state. He was accompanied by a team of revenue officials including NaibTehsildars’ Narinder Kumar, Karnail Singh and Patwaris’ Ghulam Mohd, Rakesh Kumar, Mohd Arshad, Bhagat Singh and others.

 

During the surprise inspection led by RD S&LR Amit Sharma of VillageMandfalling with Patwari Upkar Singh, lot of areas were touched and discrepancies were pointed out. TikriNaib Tehsildar Vinod Badyal was instructed to set revenue records in order for all the 24 Patwarsof his Naiabatand ensure that the ongoing Girdawari exercise is completed well within the stipulated time period ending on 15th October and strictly in-line with instructions as prescribed in various standing orders issued from time to time. The records of two revenue villagesMandand Phalatawere thoroughly checked by RD S&LR alongwiththe accompanying revenue team and strict instructions were issued to remove the anomalies immediately which were pointed out during the partal.

 

While writing the Inspection Note inPartal Register of the Concerned Patwar, RD S&LR Amit Sharma specifically pointed out nearly 50% damage caused to crops due to the monkey menace over maize crops in these hilly terrains. He also expressed dismay over non-writing of Girdawari in lot of villages of Tikri Niabat due to seizure of lot of revenue registers by Vigilance team lot of years back and the same lying with Police wing thereby leading to loss of entry of latest data in those of revenue registers since then. He assured that the matter shall be taken up with concerned authorities for sorting out the matter soon.

 

RD S&LR Amit also ensured to get Girdawari entries cross-checked in the presence of maximum inhabitants of the area so that the exercise being conducted is a successful one and if any dispute arises, correction entries could be made at the spot only so that the revenue records are latest, up to date and error-free.

 

Before winding up the Surprise Inspection at Tikri, Amit Sharma pointedly mentionedduring the inspection that the Government is totally focused under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister and Revenue Minister to computerize all land records and revenue operations at the earliest in a time-bound manner under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and for the said purpose, all revenue officials have to doubly ensure that the revenue records being scanned are correct and in-order so that the real purpose of this ambitious eGovernance project is realized at the earliest.
