JAMMU,Dec 16:Promoting a noble cause to help the disabled, State Vice President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) handed over a Wheel Chair and a Tri cycle to a young kid and a medium aged person namely Shubham and Sham Lal, both residents of Puran Nagar area of Ward Number 31. Accompanied by dozens of people, Sharma handed over the equiepments in the presence of many locals of the area as well.
The Wheel Chair was donated by CA Joginder Singh and Tri Cycle was donated by Dev Rattan Gupta, a reputed businessman.In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma thanked the donors for coming forward and contributing for a noble cause. He said due to mishappenings in the lives of Shubham and Sham Lal, both of them lost their ability to walk and it is a great gesture on the part of the donors that proves that humanity still prevails amongst all of us.
He stated that there are certain schemes of Social Welfare Department as well under which disabled persons are provided with relief and it will be seen in the coming days that such persons will be located in the Constituency and every possible help will be provided to them through various schemes.
The residents of the area also hailed the initiative of the MLA by helping the needy in every noble cause.
BJP Treasurer Parmod Kapahi, District President Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal President Jeet Angral, Deepak Kumar, Puneet Mahajan, Er. Deep Kumar, Sham Lal, Shubham, Swarn Samyal, TR Sethi, Sushma Vohra, Vimla Devi, Asha Sharma, Sobha Devi, Rajvinder Kour, Kuldeep Kour, Kamla Devi, Veena Devi, Ankush Sharma and several others were also present.
