SRINAGAR, Dec 15: The State Cabinet is likely to meet before 23rd December in Jammu at Civil Secretariat with high probability of much awaited Transfers in Police and Civil departments.
According to the Secretariat sources, the State Cabinet is most likely to meet on end of this week or starting next week where transfers and postings in civil administration and Police could be on cards but there is one segment who want Cabinet meeting to take place after 10th January so that Retiring officials can be kept on account.
Sources told Cross Town News that Transfers of District level Police officers will be put on priority which have been kept aside in last few cabinet meetings due to differences, whereas Senior officers of Police departments could be touched.
Sources further told Cross Town News that IAS officers could also be shifted as few Senior officers are retiring in January but sources added that Cabinet also may get delayed for two weeks if government take into account not to shift IAS officers who are retiring soon and may let them complete their tenures at present posting as these are important departments.
