JAMMU,Dec 12 :Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress held a strong protest demonstration at Shaheedi Chowk Jammu against the Modi led NDA Government for its attitude to suppress the voice of opposition on various issues.The protest was led by Dr. Uma Shankar Pandey- Secretary IYC Incharge J&K and Mr. Pranav Shagotra, President PYC.Hundreds of activist of youth Congress assembled at Shaheedi Chowk Jammu today morning and burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narinder Modi amidits chanting slogans “ Narinder Modi Hai Hai”, “BJP Hai Hai”.
While addressing Mr. Uma Shankar Panday said that Modi led NDA Govt. at the Centre is trying to suppress the voice of Congress party and its leaders. He said that the Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi are raising the issues of farmers and poor sections of the pluralistic society of the nation, besides raising the corruption cases of three BJP ruled states like Vyapam case of Madhaya Pradesh and the corruption case against the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and her son worth millions of corers and the inaction of Prime Minister Mr. Narindera Modi against these Chief Ministers. To hide their misdeeds BJP ministers and its leadership at the centre are trying to suppress the voice of Congress in order to provide shelter to the corrupt BJP Chief Ministers.
Mr. Pranav Shagotra in his address said that the leaders of BJP are trying to divert the attention of general masses from the issues like sky touching rates of the essential commodities, the failure of promises made by them during the elections campaigns, the increase in corruption etc. He said that to suppress the voice of opposition is against democratic system of the Country and the allegation of BJP that Congress party is not allowing to run the parliament is wrong and said it the BJP which is not allowing the parliament to run smoothly. He further said that in the regime of BJP only the intolerance is increasing in the country.
Mr. Pranav Shagotra said that PYC will continue to raise the issues of public concerned at all levels and fight for the cause of general public under the guidance of AICC Vice-President Shri Rahul Gandhi and IYC President Shri Arminder Singh Raja.
